The fourth course
The third course consists of 30 lessons and is for 3 months and 3 weeks of study, including 2 classes per week (90 minutes each). We know that your lady has a limited amount of time to learn English, that’s why this course is a special approach for her to learn as much as possible with good results. At the very beginning of the third course we have an introductory class where your lady will be acquainted with general information about your country, customs and traditions. It includes more topics and more vocabulary .The topics have been chosen with real daily life situations, to help her to be able to perform the simple yet essential functions such as communication with your family and friends, making phone calls, asking for help. Useful phrases and expressions will help your lady to overcome language barrier and to express her thoughts correctly. Except topics about private life, family and character description this course includes topics about weather, housekeeping, shopping and describing human appearance. Without it your lady won’t feel herself independent and will be incapable of adjusting to her new surroundings. This course will help your lady to make shopping without your help, to order her favorite dish by herself, to answer a phone call when you are outside.
Most of units have 3 or 4 hours. It gives opportunity to learn profound grammar. If the second course is aimed to teach your lady to make up simple sentences and phrases, the third course contains grammar basics: Present, Past, Future Tenses, Prepositions of time and place, Comparisons… Lessons are private and scheduled to fit lady’s available time. If lady is able to get to a class everyday then w will try to accommodate her. If she can only meet once a week and on different days we can do that too.
It is divided into 9 units:
Unit 1: The introduction of general information about the USA. (2 hour)
History, geography, political system, system of education.
Unit 2: Getting acquainted. Hello! Nice to meet you! Grammar. (4 hours)
Useful phrases and situations.
Unit 3: Family, marriage, occupation and profession. Grammar. (4 hours)
Family relationship, spending time with friends, socializing.
Unit 4: Home, housekeeping. Grammar. (3 hours)
Around the house.
Unit 5: Appearance and character. Grammar (4 hours)
Describing human appearance and character.
Unit 6: Food and meals. Grammar. (4 hours)
Cooking, fruits and vegetables.
Unit 7: Leisure time (sport, music, theatre, movies). Grammar. (4hours)
Spending time outdoor.
Unit 8: Shopping. Helpful words and phrases. Grammar. (3 hours)
Buying goods in a shop. Stores and markets
Unit 9: Nature and weather. Grammar. (2 hours)
Seasons, forecast, nature.
